The Shadowlands are a region in Tamekiriku immediately surrounding the Void Gate. Because of their proximity to what amounts to a gate to Hell, the Shadowlands are populated by monsters and demons dangerous enough to test even the stoutest-hearted of warriors. Additionally, the very atmosphere of the Shadowlands has a corrupting influence on nearly everything there, except for the nezumi that call this region home.
